Joint Triennial Conference of INBEF, AICBEC & RCBOC - Unions in Central bank of India


Joint Triennial Conference of INBEF, AICBEC and RCBOC was held on 28th September, 2024 at Indore, Madhya Pradesh, attended by participants from Central Bank Of India and other Banks from across the country. Shri Minesh Kasera, the Chairman, Reception Committee and General Secretary, Madhya Pradesh Central Bank Employees’ Association, Bhopal, welcomed all guests. The function started with traditional devotional prayer after garlanding of portrait of Goddess Saraswati and founder of first Indian Swadeshi Bank, Sir Sorabji Pochkhanawala, a great visionary.


The Conference was inaugurated by Shri Dr. Ramachandra Khuntia, Ex-Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Senior Vice President, Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC). In his inaugural speech, He emphasized that it is the duty of the Unions to protect the reasonable grievances of the members for which even the parliament gave us the right to agitate, rise Industrial disputes under Industrial Disputes Act in 1947. Aims and objectives of the Unions, is to safe guard members from injustice and ill treatment. For which Unions can argue and fight with the management. But at the same time, it is also the duty of the Unions to encourage and motivate their members to give maximum productivity to their respective Banks and even discuss with management the ways and means of improving business while serving public at large.


Shri Om Prakash Sharma, General Secretary, Indian National Bank Employees’ Federation, in his introductory remarks, highlighted the importance of conducting such mega event of conference. He has reminded to the house that conference is a milestone in the life of any trade union.


Shri Prabhod Kumar Jain, Asst. General Manager and Deputy Regional Manager, Central Bank of India, Indore Regional Office, addressed the Bank Employees and Officers. He has said that reasonable approach of the union/leader always help the management to resolve any misgivings and inadvertent creation of industrial disharmony.


Shri Shyam Sunder Yadav, Senior Secretary, Central Indian National Trade Union Congress, (INTUC), the Chief Guest, appreciated efforts put in by all concerned to make this conference a memorable one.


Speakers, Shri Ishwar S. Puthran, Shri Nagesh D. Dande, Shri N. K. Tehri, Shri K. Rajeev, Shri Prakash Soni, Shri Siddharth B. Menon, the General Secretaries of federations, All India Central Bank Employees Congress, Rashtriya Central Bank Officers Congress, All India Punjab National Bank Workers Federation, All India Gramin Bank Employees Congress, All India Gramin Bank Officers Congress, All India Union Bank Employees Federation respectively spoke and pressed for more such conducting of seminars and conferences to understand the problems of the Bankmen.


Shri Suresh Bani, Working President, AICBEC gave the vote of thanks to all concerned particularly to Shri Minesh Kasera, General Secretary, Madhya Pradesh Central Bank Employees Association, Bhopal and to his team for the excellent arrangement and good hospitality for two days sessions of three organizations before the national anthem sung with full of respect to our motherland.


Mr. Nagesh Dande has been again unanimously re-elected as General Secretary of All India of Rashtriya Central Bank Officers Congress (INBOC) in the Conference.
